As the drive would have it..God will use that short 7 minute period to speak to me.
I was thinking about the perfection we can find in Him and how through His Spirit and our pursuit we are being perfected in Him. And He just caused me to think on that statement I often hear and sometimes say: "I am not perfect, but I am being perfected in Him", or something along those lines.
Then I just heard Him say: If the focus of that statement is "I" you're in trouble, if its "being perfected" , you're still distracted and deceived, if its "in Him" you're still a bit off track, but if your complete focus is "Him".. you can't go wrong".
Thats where He sees the perfection in us, when all we are, see, hear, do and think is focused on Him - to Him that is the perfection in us. And when we get to that point in our walk, our journey - when we are truly living the first commandment - thats when we will perceive and truly behold the perfection in Him!
Its amazing what 7 minutes of turning my time and attention toward Him, can do. Just 7 minutes. Reminds me of this scripture:
Hebrews 10:12-17 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
