My Prayer

To be a better friend, leader, mentor, son, brother, brother-in-law, grandson... Help me to trust your ways more than my own, to have confidence, and faith. Help me to not be distracted from the vision you have placed in my heart and soul, so that I may prosper in every aspect of my life. Help me to give more, truly give with no expectation of something in return. Help me to forgive myself and all those that I am fortunate enough to cross paths with.

Help me to know when to listen and when to speak, when to accept and when to challenge.

Help me to hear your voice and hear it more clearly so that I know what direction I should take and when I should stop and wait on you.

Help me to reignite passion and joy not only in myself but in others. Extend your grace to me, so that I know how to extend it to others, to be humble and allow wisdom to fill my heart and soul that it might be shared.

Help me to focus on allowing you to steer my paths and relinquish complete control, allowing me to make mistakes so that I will learn and grow wise.

Help me to prioritize, understanding the difference between what matters and what matters most.

Help me see my own heart and shine a light into those places that need to be revealed, searching it and circumsizing it, removing all that would hinder me and what you have planned for my life.

Help me Father, to know you, like I have known no other. To know your heart more than ever.

Help me to accept the things about myself that I can't change, and change those things I can.

Help me to build upon the foundation you laid many many years ago and create a safe place for myself and all those that I love and care for...

I pray that your countenance, your joy, your love is what people will come to see when they see me, that I would be transparent and all the good gifts you have invested into me would be mulitplied many times over...so that through me others would be blessed and they would see you and seek you.

Thank for your great love, and patience, for your undying commitment to my life and the purpose you have placed within me. Thank you for your friendship, for your wisdom, your faith in me, your forgiveness.

Surely you are the Great I am - the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. I am so humbled by your grace and mercy and the love that knows no end. How humbled I am, and thankful to be called your own. Thank you for accepting me as I am, and for perfecting me in your own time.

Amen
