I'm a foreigner in this land, this world is not my home and I am and have been just passing through. I didn't always realize it, I got distracted and attached, caught up in it all. When the trials and tribulations of this life have humbled you and you learn where there is shelter from the storm, where peace can be found - When you experience His presence and behold even just the smallest fraction of His glory...there develops a longing, an ache even - a desire that transcends the flesh and all its wants and wills...to simply be with Him. Because... you know that you know that you know, thats where you belong, thats where you will be made whole, where time and distance will exist no more and you will truly live in an eternity that can't possibly be described, explained or conveyed. A love that conquers all ...all wrapped up in Him, is Him and will always be Him. More than a King and conqueror, a confidante and friend. A mighty and just judge. A compassionate caretaker of my heart and voice of reason amid my own intellect. The still small voice in the chaos that surrounds me and the mighty roar of many waters that commands the four winds and the One who placed the stars among the heavens. The breath that gives me my own and gives the "caged bird" her song. What a day it will be when I behold Him. When the whole of creation sees Him as He is... Can we even begin, to ponder, to comprehend Who He Is? Who He really is....Can we? I am certain we can't even begin to contain the answer to that question. But of what we do know.... when we really consider Him, when we think upon all that He is... we are changed, undone and its the most satisfying, rewarding, life giving and affirming experience we can possibly have as His creation. To know Him, to love Him to adore and honor Him - there is no greater purpose.
